What's With This Guy?

So there's this guy and when he's around other girls (not me) he's really flirty and stuff but when he's around me he goes shy and treats me like a mate he gives me ruff nuts and punchs me in the arm... I don't understand it does anyone know what he's doing? No smart a$$ answers thanx
