Vestments for clergy- surely Jesus wore normal clothes when he instituted the last supper of bread and the cup?

Well, actually there is a church in france which has the original and genuine toga which Jesus wore when he was being crucified. complete with skid marks. It smells bit but in fairness who wouldn't mess themselves at the prospect of spending easter nailed to a cross?
