Going from PC to a mac?

You're just going to get bias opinions to this question. Here's what I can tell you. Apple has come a long way since Apple II. Don't get an Apple cause your wife wants you to. Get what YOU want. Apple is different. If you're used to Windows it will take a while to adjust. But, you can achieve the same thing on either platform. If you like building computers and upgrading parts, get a PC. Apple computers and devices aren't meant to be upgraded: use and throw away. If you like tinkering under the hood, customizing, tweaking, etc, get a PC. Apple is a closed operating system. It's also easier to get pirated software for windows. Apple is very expensive compared to PC's. People that aren't good with computers usually get Apple cause they're harder to break. But, windows 7 is pretty solid, so this is almost a mute point. You could always have both if money isn't a concern.
